How to make Achari Paneer?

Paneer (I.e. Indian Cottage Cheese) is quite a versatile ingredient. It is being used in this simple vegetarian dish called Achari Paneer which is quick, easy and so flavorful.

340 gm Paneer
1 cup chopped onion
1 tomato
2 inch piece of Ginger- Julienned
1 green chilli
Salt per taste (We recommend 1/2 tsp)
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/4 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
1/2 tsp Nigella Seeds (Onion seeds- Kalonji)
1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds- Methre
3-4 stalks of cilantro leaves for garnish
2-3 tbsp oil for cooking

1. Heat oil in a pan. Add all the seeds. Give them about a min.
2. Add Onions, ginger and green chilli. Add salt and Turmeric
3. Fry for 2-3 mins until onions start turning golden brown.
4. Add tomatoes and paneer. Mix well and cook further for 2-3 mins.
5. Once tomatoes are tender, add garam masala and garnish with cilantro/coriander leaves.
Serve hot with Roti, Paratha, Naan or as a side dish with rice.
